Essential for anyone with safeguarding responsibilities, this introductory workshop has been designed to raise awareness about the Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) of girls and young women.
Detached youth work creates a unique environment for non-formal and social education to take place within the community through the positive relationships that youth workers build with young people who choose not to use building-based provision. Fast paced, responsive and needs-led, detached workers can explore the issues that matter most to young people in the places they choose to meet.
This workshop considers the challenges of effective detached youth work, from setting professional boundaries and maintaining confidentiality on the street to contextual safeguarding. It explores risk assessments and effective guidelines for staying safe, managing challenging behaviour and understanding your rights and responsibilities in public spaces.
With a perfect blend of theory and practical skills that you can use with young people.
This training consists of real-time sessions techniques, discussion groups and opportunities to practice and network with each other.
