Interactive Webinar: Girls, Gangs and Child Sexual Exploitation

November 11, 2021 @ 9:30 AM 12:30 PM GMT

Essential for anyone with safeguarding responsibilities, this introductory workshop has been designed to raise awareness about the Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) of girls and young women. Complex, often relationship driven, we will look at this emotive topic in relation to gangs and County Lines to understand the roles females can play in gangs, how to identify potential signs of grooming and the links between CSE and Child Criminal Exploitation, trafficking and Modern Slavery.

Using learning from the Serious Case Review for Rotherham, we will consider how racial and gender-based stereotypes and assumptions made about lifestyle relate to ‘rape culture’ and the negative impact this can have on perceptions of things like choice, consent and criminal coercion.

This course is ideal for those who want to expand their knowledge as a relevant resource for their work with young people.

With a perfect blend of theory and practical skills that you can use with young people.

This training consists of real-time sessions, techniques, discussion groups and opportunities to practice and network with each other.
